General Operational Information:
Malé International Airport is also known as Velana International Airport.

Kindly be aware that there are extremely strict regulations on bringing alcohol and other narcotics.

Airport & Custom Hours:
VRMM has a NOTAM till end September 2018 -;
The airport will be closed from 0000 – 0600 LT / 0500 – 1100 UTC.
Operation Limitation:
VRMM can handle up to B747.
If you are thinking of operating any specific aircraft – it is highly advised that you get in touch with Maldives Airports Company in order to confirm equipment serviceability.
Slots & PPR:
Slots are a requirement when operating to VRMM.
The slots confirmation will be provided once a landing permit has been issued by the MCAA (Maldives Civil Aviation Authority).

The MCAA requires a minimum of 72hrs lead time for the processing of permits in VRMM.

FBO Facilities:
There is no FBO facility at the airport at this moment. However, a separate CIP terminal will be opening soon as per the latest confirmation.
In the meantime, there is a separate facility available for handling VVIP passengers.
Visas, Customs & Immigration:
Any passengers that are arriving at the Maldives will get a 30-day tourist visa – regardless of their nationality.
