Myanmar Aviation Support Service is responsible for ground handling services for charter and medevac flights. Local Legal Agent: Department of Civil Aviation (DCA) in co-operation with airlines for private jets and medevac flights operations in the region Myanmar cum PSA for leading domestic airlines in Myanmar.

Myanmar Flight Support – What Myanmar Aviation Support Service offers:

Myanmar Aviation Support Service is able to provide assistance in obtaining permission applications for overflight, landing and emergency landing for medevac flights. In addition, they also provide ground handling services in nine major airports across Myanmar. They also have the ability to provide maintenance equipment and ground equipment in all of their locations of operations.

At the airport, their staff takes care of the coordination with Myanma Airways (MA) for aircraft ground handling (landing & take-off) in addition to traffic clearance (CIQ) for client and patients (inbound & outbound) trips alike.

Myanmar Overflight Permit:

In order to obtain a Myanmar overflight permit, the requirement is 03 working days in advance for all charter flights. On the other hand, medevac flights require only a 04-hour window in order to obtain a Myanmar overflight permit.

Once the Myanmar overflight permit request has been submitted through either fax or email, the Department of Civil Aviation is contacted immediately to obtain permission. As soon as the Myanmar overflight permit number has been received by the DCA, it will be faxed over or sent by email immediately.

Remark: We have to take time in advance for at least 04-hours for MEDEVAC flights during the weekdays of working hours. In the case of weekends, holidays or outside office hours – more time will be required to obtain Myanmar overflight permit.

Myanmar Landing Permit:

VIP Flights – CIP Flights – Charter Flights

In order to obtain a Myanmar landing permit for VIP flights, CIP flights and Private flights, the requirement is 10 working days in advance. Moreover, once all data has been submitted (flight & passenger information, purpose of trip, routing, etc.), an application is submitted to the Department of Civil Aviation for Myanmar landing permit.

Another application is also submitted to the RGN airport in order to apply for the parking approval form Pioneer Aerodrome Service. The DCA will submit the application to the Ministry of Transport in order to gain approval. Once the approval has been received from these authorities, the DCA will issue the Myanmar landing permit and the permit number will be sent by email.

Fuel Services:

Myanmar Aviation Support Service can also provide fuel coordination services. The methods of payment differ depending on the local fule provider – whether it is prepayment or cash on delivery. If there already is an agreement with the fuel provider or through a specialized agent, simple coordination can still be provided for the truck to come to the aircraft.

Note: All non-schedule flights (PVT & MEDEVAC FLT) are also not allowed directly fly to ALL DOMESTIC AIRPORTS except International Airports (Yangon, Nay Pyi Taw & Mandalay),
so via inbound/outbound and to/from three Int’l Airports only.

For example; if your Medevac Flt is pick up to VYBG or VYHH, via from VYYY or VYMD or VYNT in and out for C.I.Q process. The main reason is for C.I.Q and Visa, and also do not allow enter with Embassy Visa to All Domestic Airports.
