An operational guide including slots, ground handling and other aircraft services for operating to Menara Airport ( RAK / GMMX ) Marrakech, Morroco.

General Operational Information:
First of all, the GMMX AIP is available for viewing and download here.
It is strongly suggested that you consult NOTAMs before an operation. Therefore kindly visit this page to view the latest NOTAMs for any airport of your choosing.
Airport & Custom Hours:
Airport & Customs are also open 24hrs – all week long.
Operation Information:
Available fuel types include Jet A1 – AVGAS 100LL and also Aeroshell Oil 100, Aeroshell Turbine Oil 9 – Oil 3 for military.
Fuel can also be arranged via fuel release by Swissport, credit card as Avcard, Uvair and multiservices or cash in Euro.
According to AIP, payment for fueling for clients under Shell du Maroc contract can also pay in cash (either currency for foreigners and in Dirhams for Moroccans).
Furthermore, credit cards accepted are Shell, Uvair, World Fuel Service, Tromp Oil, Phoenix Fuel Corporation, Airfuel International, Colt International, Multiservice, Avcard, Aerofuel Overseas LTD, Mercury, Interservice S.A, Planning and Providing Center Ukraine, Privatair.
Slots & PPR:
Slots & PPR are NOT required.
Lead time depends on the urgency of the flight and if it is an emergency.
If the flight plan is filed with IG – private non-revenue, no landing permit is required.
However, if it is filed with IN – private commercial flight, landing permit is mandatory.
Peak periods are also heavily dependent on the seasons – thus it is strongly recommended you inquire.
Aircraft Services:
- Crew & Pax VIP assistance for Customs & immigration formalities
- Crew & Pax VIP transport to & from aircraft to facility (consisting in 4 movements)
- Marshalling, chocks & cones
- Baggage loading/unloading and transportation between A/C and Terminal
- Start-up communications (Head set)
- Standards weather & NOTAM briefing
- Traffic rights & landing permits
- Order catering or press on request
- Fuel company liaison
- Crew and pax transportation arrangement on request
- Hotel accommodation reservation arrangement on request
- Crew lounge (where available)
FBO Facilities:
Currently, there is no FBO in RAK, GMMX. There is, however, a special process for assisting VIP PAX in arrival and departure.
There is an executive VIP lounge in departures which operates 24hrs, 07 days.
Visas, Customs & Immigration:
Airport access can also be arranged for the crew to do an A/C check.
However, GENDEC is NOT an official document that can replace visas, if visas are required to enter Morocco.
US/Russian/European (except certain Eastern European countries such as Ukraine) do not need visa, only valid physical passport.
